We have a NEW WEBSITE: http://www.doodlebugblessingsgoldendoodles.weebly.com
Fall 2015-Spring 2016
Maci Mae was bred to Teddy in early August, her pregnancy has been confirmed and she should deliver around Oct. 3rd - 6th. These will be F3 Mini-Enlgish Cream Parti Goldendoodles, 20-35 lbs at maturity on average. No spots open at this time and we have one family on our waiting list. We will open more spots, if she delivers more than 5 puppies.
Holly was bred to Jasper, also in early August, pregnancy confirmed and is due to deliver between Oct. 7th - 11th. This will be Holly's last litter and she will be spayed when her puppies are weaned. Holly's puppies will be F2 English Cream Goldendoodles. Holly is known to deliver highly intuitive puppies with great therapy dog potential. As of today, we only have one spot open for her list. We will open more spots, if she delivers more than 6 puppies.
We have been contacted by two very deserving families in need of puppies that can be trained as therapy/service dogs. One family has a son on the Autism Spectrum, who is being bullied at school, so he could really use a friend and companion to boost his confidence and we know that goldendoodles can do just that for children and adults. The other family has a child with Spinal Muscular Atrophy similar to ALS and she needs a dog who can help her live a more normal life. It is our hearts desire to help both families, but after donating 2 puppies fully from our last litter, reducing 2 more to half or less for other families in need and reducing another for a family adopting their second doodle from us, we are not in the position to donate fully at this time., but are willing to reduce fees as much as possible. If you find it in your hearts to help us make this possible for either family to receive a puppy, we would welcome any donation you are able to give, so we can still meet our family's financial obligations. We have two teen daughters who cannot wait any longer to take driver's ed and the cost here is very high x 2. They need their licenses to drive, so they can work part-time and before they both graduate from High School. One is a senior already and the other is a junior. We will do all we can to make it possible as well, if we have more puppies than we have predicted. This is something that we are very passionate about doing.
We have now donated 2 puppies to vets with PTSD and we know that they are already making a difference to their owner's lives. Just hearing how they are doing, makes it all worth it. We live for updates from our families, it makes all the work, worth it for our children, when they SEE photos and read letters showing how happy, healthy and loved these puppies are once they go home and leave the nest.
We have plans to repeat our pairing of Ginger x Teddy soon, if both are in the best health possible. Ginger will most likely only have 1-2 more litters, before she too is retired like her mama Holly. At this time, we have 2 openings for that litter. Watch for updates on timing of this litter. If we have smooth coat goldendoodles in their litter again, we hope to donate at least one puppy from that future litter.
We will most likely only have one-two litters in 2016. Every family that adopts from us, is part of our Doodle family forever. We have been blessed by all of you.
Blessings, Kim and family
Doodlebug Blessings Goldendoodles
Here's the story behind our name: Jade is our second daughter from China, but I started calling her DOODLEBUG when she was just a baby, long before we heard of Goldendoodles. Our children are BLESSINGS from above, as are our Doodles! We love our dogs like family; they are socialized from birth by our children, my husband and myself. Since Jade's nickname was a sign of the wonderful dogs that would come into our lives, it seemed fitting to name our kennel Doodlebug Blessings Goldendoodles.

Ginger x Teddy's puppies arrived on Father's Day 2015, June 21st and will be ready to go home on August 16th, at 8 weeks of age. She had 9 beautiful puppies, 5 boys and 4 girls, they range from light cream (almost white), to a dark red in color. Several have white markings and most are wavy to curly so far, but we know that coats can change and we usually see that at around 5-6 weeks of age, if they are going to change. As of July 11, 2015, we only 2 spots remaining. We will not begin picks until 5-6 weeks of age, to better insure coat types and temperament. If you are interested in receiving an application, please email us for an application at: doodlebugblessings@gmail.com.
We will post photos and updates on weights and personalities on our Facebook page, as often as possible.

2015 puppies have begun to arrive and upcoming litters.
Holly delivered 8 beautiful puppies on April 12, 2015, 4 girls and 4 boys. This is her last litter with Jasper and she will be retiring around December 2015. We currently have 2 puppies available from this litter of F2 Goldendoodles. Photos and updates are on our Facebook page. Picks will begin around May 24th and are done in order of deposits received. We like to wait until as close to 6 weeks as possible, to better determine coat types for those who have allergy concerns, as we do get smooth coat Goldendoodles from time to time. More individual photos on our Facebook page. CURRENT PHOTOS ON OUR FACEBOOK PAGE: Tobias and Gideon are still available for adoption, both males and both English Cream F2 Goldendoodles, Tobias is slightly larger, Gideon has a thicker and curlier coat. They will be ready to go home on June 5th!
Ginger was bred to our mini male Teddy (Ted E. Bear) and is expected to deliver around June 25th, 2015. At this time, we have 3 openings for this litter. Puppies from this litter, are expected to be somewhere around 30-40 lbs full grown, as Teddy is 24 lbs and Ginger is 34 lbs. Expecting parti-colors, as both are carriers of the parti-gene and colors: apricot, red, white and cream and combinations of those colors, with a slight chance of a chocolate, as both are also carriers.
Maci Mae will also be bred to Teddy, sometime this summer, stay tuned for updates on our Facebook page. Their puppies should mature to be somewhere between 20 and 35 lbs full grown. Maci Mae is 23 lbs and Teddy is 24 lbs. Photos of their last litter, on our Facebook page. Apricot-red, white and cream colors expected, along with combinations of those colors.
Holly "may" have one more litter before she retires, we will post updates here and on our Facebook page.

Stud Service Change & UPDATES as of February 9th, 2015
We will offer stud service of our males, to select females/breeders only, who will be asked to sign a binding contract in advance. Charge for stud service will be the cost of a puppy, (which could vary) or pick of the litter puppy, that we will either keep, or place. We ask that you be experienced in breeding, or be willing to allow us to mentor to you before, during and after delivery. If we are to get the pick of the litter, we will ask that photos and updates be sent to us as often as possible and that picks not be allowed until 5-6 weeks of age, to better determine coat types. We have found that coats seem to change nearing the 6 week mark and also temperaments are better determined at this age as well. The hardest things we have found in providing stud service, is not to have messages returned in a timely manner. We care about the puppies produced from our males just as if they had been born here in our home. It's been a learning curve for us and that is why we will be changing how we offer stud service, or puppies to other breeders. It is wonderful when we can all work together to better the breed and watch our mutually produced puppies thrive and go off to live with their forever families and continue to get updates on how they are doing. We sincerely care about every single puppy that is produced from both our sires and our dams.

2015 Puppy Update:
All of our current puppies have been placed in forever families. We do however have a couple of "pick of the litter" puppies to place from our sire Jasper, who is an F1 English Cream Goldendoodle and two outside females from other breeders, who used him as the stud for their litters. Ellie, who is a black goldendoodle, gave birth to 12, yes 12 on New Years Eve and we will have one puppy to place from their litter. Ellie's owner will most likely have a few spots open as well. Puppies will be $1000-$1200. She had both cream and black puppies and all are wavy to curly. We expect their puppies to be 35-60 lbs at maturity. ***Ellie x Jasper's pick of the litter puppy has been placed.
Jasper was also bred to another female, Jessie and she delivered 10 English Cream Goldendoodle puppies who have all been placed with forever families. We decided to place the pick of the litter male and Justice is now living with his forever family in Nashville.
Katey-Jo is an F1 Moyen English Cream Goldendoodle and she is due mid-January and again, we will have a pick of the litter puppy to place from their litter. They will have a few spots open as well and again, puppies will be $1200. All coat types are possible and the puppies will be F2 Goldendoodles and will most likely be shades of cream. Katey-Jo is only 28 lbs, so we expect their puppies to be 30-45 lbs at maturity. ***Katey-Jo x Jasper's pick of the litter puppy is still available for adoption.
UPDATE: Katey-Jo delivered 6 puppies on January 20th, all shades of cream, 3 boys and 3 girls. We have a pick of the litter puppy still available for adoption. Puppies are $1200. There is also 3-4 other puppies available from this litter. Please call or email if you would like an application.
If you are interested in any of these puppies, please message us with your email address so we can send you an application.
We will be repeating our Holly x Jasper pairing in Mid-March, with F2 English Cream Goldendoodle puppies arriving in Mid-May, if timing remains the same. Their puppies have been very popular and as of today, we only have 2 spots open. We will open more spots, if available, after they arrive. We will decide after this litter whether we will retire Holly, or let her have one more litter in 2016 with another sire. Puppies should be 40-60 lbs at maturity. UPDATE: Holly decided to come in early and was bred to Jasper the first week in February. We are expecting puppies to arrive around April 10th. As of now, all 6 reservations for this litter are taken, but we will open up more spots, once they have arrived. Holly usually has 7-8 in each litter.
In May, we hope to breed Ginger to Teddy our F1b English Cream Parti mini Goldendoodle, for minis from 25-35 lbs, in shades of red, apricot and cream or white. Both are chocolate factored, and both are parti-factored, so there is also a slight chance of some chocolate and a high probability of parti-colors/markings. 5 of the 6 spots are still open for this litter as of today. Puppies should arrive in July and will be ready in September for their forever families. Stay tuned for updates, in the event she comes in earlier than anticipated.
In July we will be breeding Maci Mae and Teddy again and should have mini-parti-doodles arriving sometime at the end of September 2015, ready for families at the end of November. Puppies will be 20-35 lbs. at maturity. Only one spot still open for this litter.
We will possibly be looking for guardian families for females from each of our 2015 litters and could possibly have one male to place in a guardian home as well. If you are interested in applying to be a guardian family, please contact us for more info. Guardian families receive a pick of the litter puppy at very little cost and we will use them in our breeding program when they reach 2 years of age.
Our puppies are socialized from birth by us, our 5 children who are still at home, our 2 grandchildren and by Steve's mom, who is age 90. She loves to cuddle with the puppies and our adult doodles too. Maci and Teddy especially love Dorothy. Many of our puppies have had therapy potential and several are in the process of being trained for therapy and companion work. We believe in donating or reducing fees for special needs families whenever we can, but cannot for every family that asks always. If we "donate" a puppy, we ask that the family still pay our $300 deposit fee and sign a contract, to show their commitment to the puppy. Our puppies are born in our home, usually in our family room, and not in kennels, barns, or out in a dog run. We practice Early Neurological Stimulation from birth and this is done by us as well as our children. We like to wait until the puppies are closer to 6 weeks of age, whenever possible, to ensure coat types, as they seem to change around 5-6 weeks of age, for all generations past the F1 or first generation Goldendoodles. We post literally hundreds of photos on our Facebook page weekly, as they grow and include info on their budding personalities and videos as often as possible. We homeschool our 3 youngest, so someone is with our dogs and puppies at all times.
We hope this answers some of the questions you may have about our dogs, breeding program and our family. If you have additional questions, please feel free to call or email, we will answer any other questions, or concerns the best we can.
Wishing you all a blessed and Joyful New Year!
